Why does it say "No captions found"?

Some videos have no subtitles — the creator may have disabled them, or the video is too new for auto-captions. The tool can't create captions where none exist.

What is an SRT file?

SRT (SubRip Subtitle) is the most widely supported subtitle format. Each line is numbered with a start and end timestamp. Supported by VLC, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and most other players.

Is my data private?

Yes. No video content passes through our servers. Captions are fetched directly from YouTube to your browser — nothing is stored or logged.
